Lumina String Quartet’s Chamber Music Institute

Two separate week-long programs are offered for talented musicians, giving them a unique place to meet and work with similar minds. It is a goal and a dream for any aspiring musician to learn and perform works of the great composers, and this Quartet is very happy to give young artists this wonderful opportunity to fulfill their dreams.  Each week-long program includes chamber music coaching, private lessons, master classes, and scheduled practices and rehearsals (both alone and as an ensemble).  There will be other musical activities, as well, and each week will conclude with a concert held in the Palace Theatre with each student quartet performing an entire composition from the standard repertoire.  The festival will be under the guidance of five exceptional Lumina String Quartet musicians who will be coaches: Asya Meshberg, violin; Alex Dzyubinsky, violin; Arman Alpyspaev, viola; Natalia Galebsky, cello; and Phillip Bashor, clarinet.  The core repertoire includes Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Borodin, Shostakovich, Dvorak, and Tchaikovsky.
